New Fall/Winter Schedule and Veterans Day Weekend Ideas

It's that time of the year again when the days start to get a little shorter, and the city is coming down off the energy rush of summer. But, it is after all San Francisco, so there is still no shortage of things to do.

This next Thursday is Veteran's Day, and in honor of the Holiday, many National Parks are waiving their entrance fees. So, if you're in the mood to plan a nice little holiday this is a great weekend to take the family out to Muir woods on Thursday and up to visit San Francisco for a Duck tour and a nice dinner on the Wharf!

We are now operating on our limited Fall/Winter schedule. Hours for Ride the Ducks are as follows:

Monday-Friday: 11am, 1pm, 3pm

Saturday & Sunday: 10-5pm hourly

Reservations can be made through our website at sanfranciscoducks.com or by calling 877-887-8225.

Giants Victory Parade

We are proud to say that yesterday was a very big day for our sister company, Classic Cable Car Partners.

We had 15 Cable Cars that held San Francisco's most famous and beloved Giants Champions and we were lucky enough to catch Lincicum, Torres, Posey (to name a few) on film! Check out this fantastic video and if you have any cool pictures yourself, please share!

Giants Win the World Series! Ducks join in Victory Parade!

It always seems that there is some special event pretty much every week in San Francisco but tomorrow is a rare and special occasion.

As you all very well may know by now the Giants won the World Series, a feat that has only happened once before and that was in 1954!

We are tremendously excited to announce that we will be leading the procession at the Giant's victory parade tomorrow.

We will have 15 Cable Cars as well as 4 Ducks in the celebration and we will travel along the route that the Giant's first took upon arriving to San Francisco from New York in 1958. The procession will then end at Civic Center, where San Francisco Mayor, Gavin Newsom will present to the team, the Key to the  City.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and take public transportation.

The parade starts tomorrow morning at 11:00 am on Montgomery and Washington streets, it will then head south.

We'd love to see you guys out there and please send any pictures you might get!

Giants in The World Series!

Anyone who is alive in San Francisco knows by now: The Giants have made the World Series! Even if you're not an avid baseball fan, chances are you've been swept away into Giants madness by now, and, well, it's no different for us here at Ride the Ducks.

Wednesday and Thursday the Duck will be behind McCovey Cove to show support for our home team. We even had a special banner made just for this season (check it our right below). So look out for us on TV and if you're really obsessed with the Giants , and haven't already done so, take our tour which passes by the Giant's Stadium (AT&T Ball Park) and goes into the water right behind the Ball Park!

Ride The Ducks Features on T.V. for the month of October!

Its been a busy month for Ride the Ducks on TV Land. This month, we've been featured several times in the "City of Brotherly Love", Philadelphia.

First, it was the second episode of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and then it was on the Philadelphia edition of Food Feuds. The episode, called "Cheesy Feuds" featured Ride the Ducks during a tasting of cheesesteaks. Going head to head were the famous Pat's (King of Steaks) and Geno's.

To pick the winner the show relied on riders of Ride the Ducks, and the judges quacked for their preferred cheeseteak.

If you'd like to check it out (in case your ever in Philadelphia, or if you're just an avid Ducks fan) check the link for show times! :

Thanks to the ongoing efforts of CC charter driver Charles Palm and duck captain Roger “Duck Rogers” Crawford, Ride The Ducks - San Francisco Duck Tours was able to assist in delivering food, clothing, prayers and compassion to San Francisco’s poorest neighborhoods. Every month donations are collected from corporations and employees such as CC charter driver Hector Rodriguez and distributed in a motorized cable car. This month, distribution was aided by a youth group from the east bay fellowship. Check out the video below.

Keep your eye out for Splash!

Splash made a special appearance recently when he visited the Visitor Information Center on the corner of Jefferson Street and Jones Street in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf. Splash helped christen the newly re-opened center by quacking his way into the hearts of visitors. Keep your eye out for future sightings!
